When it comes to baking a cake, there are times that I like to bake a bundt cake. Once I do, I am often challenged to come up with a great tasting glaze for my newly baked cake.

All four of these recipes are easy to make and would be a great glaze topping for just about any flavor of cake that you would make.

Chocolate Marshmallow Glaze

1/3 cup sugar
3 tablespoon water
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons marshmallow creme
1-2 tablespoons hot water

Combine sugar and 3 tablespoons water in a saucepan, bring to a boil. Remove from heat and immediately add chocolate chips, stir until melted. Blend in marshmallow creme and enough hot water until glaze is of pouring consistency. Re-melt the drippings over hot water as additional glaze is needed.

Classic Chocolate Glaze

1/4 cup cocoa
3 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup powdered sugar

Combine cocoa, water, corn syrup and butter in a small saucepan.

Stir over low heat until mixture thickens. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and gradually add in confectioners sugar, beat until smooth and thickened.

Cream Cheese Glaze

3 oz. package cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cream softened cream cheese until smooth in a small bowl. Blend in confectioners sugar, milk and vanilla. Beat until glaze is smooth and of spreading consistency.

Vanilla Glaze

1 1/2 tablespoons water
2 cups confectioners sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons corn syrup
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine all ingredients in a medium sized bowl and blend until smooth.

Drizzle over your favorite cake.
