One day two of your friends call you up and say that they would be visiting your place. You would definitely like to prepare something good to eat but you do not have much time, what would you do? Here are some good Lobster Tail and Crab Cake recipes which you can prepare at home in few minutes.

Lobster tails with chive and butter is one such recipe which can be prepared in very little time.

Ingredients required are:

Four 5-ounce frozen or fresh lobster tails
One teaspoon lemon peel (finely shredded)
One third cup butter
Two tablespoons fresh chives (snipped)

How to cook:
If the lobster is frozen then it has to be thawed first. Then wash the lobster tails and dry with paper napkins. Cut the tails lengthwise from the center of the hard top shells and meat, but not through the bottom of the shells. Finally, press apart the shell halves of tails with fingers.
To prepare sauce, melt butter in a saucepan. Remove the pan away from heat and add chives and lemon peel and stir nicely. Keep the remaining sauce aside after removing two tablespoons of the sauce.
Then grease the oven of the gas grill and preheat it. Then reduce the heat of the grill to medium.
Brush a portion of the two tablespoons sauce over the lobster meat and place it on the grill directly over heat with the meat sides down. Cover it with a lid and grill for six minutes. Turn lobster and brush the remaining two tablespoons sauce over it. Cover it again and grill for another six to eight minutes, until the lobster meat turns opaque.
Heat the sauce kept aside, stir occasionally. Serve the lobster tails with the sauce as dipping.

Crab Cake is another recipe which you can prepare when guests are coming to your place and you have very little time.
Ingredients to prepare Crab Cake are:

1 pound Crab meat
Two tablespoons mayonnaise
Eight saltine crackers
One teaspoon mustard
One egg beaten
One fourth teaspoon Worcestershire
Two tablespoon vegetable oil
Half teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
How to prepare:
First remove cartilage, if any from the crab meat. Then put the crab meat in a vessel and keep it aside.

Saltine crackers have to be crushed and to it add the egg, mayonnaise, mustard, Worcestershire, Old Bay seasoning and salt to taste and mix properly.

Then add the crab gently and mix again, just enough to amalgamate the ingredients.

Crab may break up into fine shreds and we do not want that to happen. Make six crab cakes and keep it in the refrigerator for not less than an hour.

Then heat two tablespoons of vegetable oil in a frying pan, especially non-stick pan and saut the crab cakes until they become golden brown on both sides.

Serve hot with tartar sauce, remoulade, or just put few drops of lemon juice over the cakes.
